This Thursday, two Jordan Brand outfitted High Schools will meet in Nike Free Run 3.0 V4 a Quarterfinal match-up in the National High School Invitational while wearing these amazing PE colorways of the Air Jordan XX8. Oak Hill Academy will don the red colorway while Montrose Christian will rock the green, but both feature that wild graphic that reminds us of that Air Jordan VIII-inspired XX8 PE that we spotted during the 2013 NBA All-Star Weekend. We’ve got some additional angles for viewing below, so take a look and let us know which of the two you like more!
Reebok is really crushing it with the retro models lately, adding to the old standbys everything from the 1990s basketball standouts to the classic running shoes that gave the brand a start back in the early days. One sign of the abundant variety they’ve offered in 2013 came last year when the first Reebok ERS 1500s were shown last year. True OGs like the LX 8500 and Phase II have returned Nike Free Run 3.0 V2 in the interim, and now the ERS 1500 gets a new style in time for back to school. These are done in royal blue suede and mesh with just a hint of yellowish-orange adding enough pop to elevate the design, so check out more below and look for these at your local RBK retailer soon.
Revive Customs is back at it, once again going at a high-concept theme via the Nike Air More Uptempo. The pair, labeled as the Nike Air More Uptempo “Popular Myth and Destruction of Sodom”, was inspired by Revive’s own thoughts and opinions on the art world and what value custom sneakers Nike Free Run 5.0 V2 have in that scene. Also worth mentioning, they were created for a member of the K-Pop band Big Bang (Trivia bit: Big Bang is signed to YG Entertainment, the same label as Psy of Gangham Syle fame). The Cole Haan Lunargrand seems to be a favorite of Spike Lee’s, as he’s been spotted several times wearing the Lunar-ed out wingtips, saddles, and chukkas from time to time. It looks like he wanted to add some special flavor, so Revive Customs rose to the occasion and reworked a fragment design x Cole Haan Lunargrand Saddle in “Knicks” style, with orange soles, a royal blue upper with jersey material holes, and brown leather uppers. This special Birthday edition for Spike Lee is quite the follow-up to Revive’s amazing “1928″ custom editions that we showed you not long ago, and when seeing them on Spike’s feet when he was sitting courtside during Carmelo’s half-dollar against the Heat earlier this week, they look even better! We hope this only marks the beginning of a string of Cole Haan customs, so check out the exclusive photos of the shoes and Spike below and let us know what you think.
